Name: Alpakino Chico
Breed: Huacaya
Sex: Male
Color: Beige
Date of Birth: 11 August 2023
Sire: Miriquidi Seventh Heaven’s Pride (Dark Fawn)
Dam: Charlotte (Beige)

Chico has a correct conformation, is a healthy alpaca, and possesses all the desirable traits of a potential stud.

On the dam’s side, his lineage includes some truly remarkable names — she descends from Cedar House Storm 2 of Wessex, a male carrying Accoyo bloodlines, among the finest alpacas ever imported into Australia. For those familiar with the alpaca world, names such as Purrumbete Inti, Benleigh Highland Lass, and Cedar House Peru Accoyo Jacomo need no introduction.

Chico’s sire is Miriquidi Seventh Heaven’s Pride (second-to-last photo) — a male with an impressive genetic background and multiple awards on the international stage. His dam, Canchones Miriquidi Sensation, is the first offspring of the legendary Australian pair Patagonia Celtic Rising Sun and Lee Carraow Seventh Heaven. The latter — Pride’s grandmother and the origin of his name — is a true international legend, sold over 12 years ago at the National Alpaca Show & Sale for $56,000.

Chico’s grandsire, Patagonia Celtic Rising Sun, is likewise the top of the top. His fibre, famous for its fineness, lustre, and beautiful crimp, measured only 21.4 microns even at 13 years old. He is a multi-award-winning stud, and his offspring continue to succeed at shows across Australia, New Zealand, and Europe.

Further back in Pride’s pedigree are other notable sires such as Camelot Tor and Jolimont Attitude — both highly respected names in the alpaca world. Pride’s own sire, Snowmass Quechua’s Innovation, brings American roots to the lineage. He is one of the most outstanding sons of Snowmass Quechua. The combination of Snowmass Olympic Belle and Snowmass Quechua produced one of the finest white males ever bred. His brother, Snowmass Matrix, achieved the highest auction price in history — $675,000!

The pedigree continues with legendary bloodlines, including Peruvian Hemingway and several ancestors from the Accoyo family — one of the most prestigious alpaca breeding lines in Peru.
